AITEX welcomed members of the Casa Decor organisation and representatives of several companies participating in the 2026 edition. The purpose of the visit was to showcase the technological capabilities, laboratories and pilot plants that supported the development of some of the solutions incorporated into “The Listening Bar” x Paccieri Studio, one of the most distinctive spaces presented at Casa Decor.
During the visit, participants toured various facilities at the research and innovation centre, explored advanced materials development projects and discovered how applied research can become a strategic resource for designers, architects, manufacturers and brands seeking to differentiate themselves through innovation.
Behind “The Listening Bar”: technology, materials and development
The visit focused particularly on the processes that enabled the production of various elements featured in “The Listening Bar” x Paccieri Studio, a project distinguished by its fusion of design, sensory experience, sustainability and technology. Participants gained first-hand insight into the development, validation and manufacturing stages involved in transforming a creative concept into a tangible, functional solution.
The meeting also helped strengthen collaboration between the design community and industry, demonstrating how research can add value in areas including sustainable materials, innovative finishes, advanced manufacturing, comfort, functionality and user experience.
The presence of companies participating in Casa Decor 2026 created a forum for dialogue and knowledge exchange on the current challenges facing the habitat and interior design sector, as well as the opportunities offered by emerging technologies to develop increasingly innovative and sustainable products and spaces.
