AITEX’s ‘The Listening Bar’ Receives Double Recognition for Innovation and Design at Casa Decor 2026

by

AITEX has made history in its first year participating with its own space at Casa Decor 2026. Its proposal, “The Listening Bar”, designed by Paccieri Studio, received double recognition: the 3rd Most Voted Space by the public and an Honourable Mention for Best Integrated Product Design for its Japanese panel.

These awards endorse the success of a project that has also been widely praised for its innovation and sustainability, transforming one tonne of textile waste into cutting-edge constructive and decorative solutions addressing the challenges of contemporary living environments.

Conceived as an immersive experience of responsible luxury, the project transforms the act of listening to music into an enveloping experience in which sound directly interacts with interior design, lighting and textures. Designed by Mariana Paccieri of Paccieri Studio, the space operates as a sensory refuge that invites visitors to pause and establish an emotional connection with their surroundings.

With this recognition, AITEX strengthens its positioning as a benchmark in innovation applied to habitat and sustainability, showcasing to the wider public the potential of the research developed in Alcoy and demonstrating that circular economy principles can coexist with the highest levels of sophistication.

To bring this ambitious concept to life, the space integrates seven technological demonstrators and R&D prototypes focused on wellbeing and functionality, including the award-winning Japanese panel made from recycled fibres, achieving a lightweight and clean structure.

“The success of The Listening Bar reflects purpose-driven innovation: demonstrating that textile waste is a resource of incalculable value for interior architecture. This award validates our efforts to deliver real technological solutions to today’s environmental challenges,” stated the AITEX team.
