AITEX brought together twenty five experts from the defence sector from all over Europe for the final meeting of “Circular Material for Textiles”, within the “Incubation Forum for Circular Economy in European Defence” (IF CEED) project.
The initiative incubates research projects to develop new technologies and methodologies to facilitate the recycling of textile waste generated by the defence sector.
Representatives of the European Defence Agency (EDA), the Spanish Ministry of Defence and industry exchanged ideas on new projects for recycling post-consumer textile waste from the defence sector and laid the groundwork for the implementation phase
The meeting culminated in a visit to the new AITEX facilities.
