COMPETITIVE INTELLIGENCE MODEL TO BOOST EXCELLENCE AND ALIGN R&D ACTIVITIES WITH RESULTS AND KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER
INTELI-AITEX 2026
Motivation
This project arises from the need to strengthen and evolve AITEX’s Competitive Intelligence model in a context of increasing technological, competitive and regulatory complexity. The acceleration of innovation processes, the digitalisation of research, and the demand for more efficient and sustainable solutions from the business fabric of the Comunitat Valenciana make it essential to equip the Centre’s Transfer Teams with advanced tools that enable trend anticipation, resource optimisation and maximisation of the impact of R&D activities. Within this framework, the incorporation of technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation and advanced data analysis, together with a strategic management of intellectual property and a comprehensive assessment of sustainability, will make it possible to more effectively align research with the real needs of companies, strengthen strategic decision‑making and increase the socio‑economic value of the results generated by AITEX.

Objectives
The general objective of this project is to strengthen AITEX’s Competitive Intelligence model by promoting excellence in the research and development activities carried out by the Centre’s Transfer Teams. This includes the implementation of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation and digitalisation to better orient R&D initiatives towards companies in the Comunitat Valenciana, as well as the analysis of IPR management and valuation and the measurement of the sustainability impact of the research lines being developed.
Expected results

The expected results can be summarised as an improvement in AITEX’s competitiveness in research and development activities through strategic monitoring and process improvement aimed at achieving greater efficiency, that is, improving the outcomes of R&D projects with lower resource consumption. Increased knowledge of the business environment through market studies and competitive analysis is also expected, together with knowledge management that allows greater valorisation of results and generates a stronger impact on companies through more efficient and effective knowledge‑transfer actions. Finally, the project will enable the analysis and evaluation, from a broader perspective, of the sustainability of the research lines carried out at AITEX.
