RED CERVERA FOR RESEARCH INTO ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES FOR COGNITION, TACTICAL SIMULATION AND ADAPTIVE TRAINING IN CRITICAL SCENARIOS THROUGH EXTENDED INTERFACES

TACTIX

Motivation

The TACTIX Network aims to promote research activities focused on the development and evolution of technologies applied to military simulators, with the goal of creating highly immersive simulation environments. To this end, the Red Cervera TACTIX brings together seven reference technology centres in Industria 5.0, specialised in strategic fields for Defence and Security, such as advanced human‑centred data capture systems, haptic interfaces, virtual reality and mixed reality. These complementary technologies constitute the foundation on which the research and development lines will be structured throughout the entire collaboration period.

Objectives

The objective of this project is the research and development of advanced textile and sensing technologies that enable comprehensive monitoring of the combatant in immersive simulation scenarios. The overall goal is to integrate low‑profile wearable sensing solutions, physiological and neurological biomarkers, portable haptic interfaces and the generation of reproducible datasets, in order to enhance training personalisation, improve system interoperability and ensure user comfort and safety in defence and security environments.

Expected results

  • Technological demonstrators in five key areas: digital twins for immersive simulation, dynamic training personalisation through AI, semantic automation of scenarios, human‑robot interaction in XR environments, and intelligent performance analysis and adaptive routing systems.
  • Improved operational readiness and reduced risk during training, as well as enhanced decision‑making under pressure.
  • Participation in European projects and global networks.
  • Application in health (surgical simulators, rehabilitation), industry (training in critical processes), logistics and education.
  • Generation of intellectual property, software and know‑how.
  • Creation of qualified employment and strengthening of technological capacities within the participating centres.
