REVITALIZE AITEX’S R&D ACTIVITY AT THE EUROPEAN LEVEL
EU4AITEX 2025
Motivation
he goal is to strengthen AITEX’s strategic R&D lines with a medium- to long-term European vision, enabling the institute to enhance its excellence in research and development, collaborate with other European research centers, and boost not only AITEX’s participation in high-level European technological projects but also its involvement in European initiatives such as platforms, networks, and more. Additionally, the aim is to encourage the participation of companies from the Valencian Community in these initiatives.
Objectives
Promote the dynamization of AITEX’s R&D activity within the European context through two main pillars:
- Encouraging AITEX’s participation in major European funding programs, as well as in tenders launched by the various Directorates-General (DG) of the European Commission (EC) and its agencies. Participation is also considered in national funding programs, as well as potential projects arising from the European Next Generation Funds and the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
- Participation in European platforms and other European cooperation initiatives or networks. In these initiatives, AITEX may participate as an associate, as a member of the steering board, or as part of a technical group. In some cases, membership fees are required, and international technical events and meetings are usually organized, primarily aimed at fostering participation in European R&D programs.
Expected results

Participation in at least 10 European projects and tenders, coordinating at least 2, and 3 national ones, where AITEX takes part in R&D projects as a leader or partner.

Participation in at least 5 events of the main platforms, networks, and European cooperation initiatives that address strategic R&D lines at the European level.

Participation in at least 10 info days, brokerage events, meetings, workshops, courses, etc., where the R&D lines to be funded in various European calls are identified.

AITEX is present at the Babykid FIMI fair at Feria Valencia from January 26 to 28, presenting tests and certifications for children’s products.
AITEX has attended the Cosmetorium fair in Barcelona once again on October to present its new products for the cosmetic sector.
AITEX has hosted the LIFE POLITEX workshop entitled “Closing the textile polyester cycle: challenges and opportunities”, based on promoting sustainable solutions for the management and recycling of textile materials.
