¿What is INNDIH?

AITEX participates in the European project InnDIH, the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) of the Valencian Community, which, led by ITI and in collaboration with INNEUROPE Digital Innovation Hub, represents a major centralized public-private collaboration effort. This initiative brings together the business ecosystem, universities, technological and research centers, biotechnological-health research institutes, and public administrations to contribute to the digitalization of SMEs and public administrations and promote the economic development of the Valencian Community.

InnDIH has been established as a non-profit consortium with solid experience and connections at the European level, promoting the development and implementation of digital technologies in the priority domains of Health and Quality of Life and Advanced Manufacturing, as well as any other areas that require digital technologies.

Objectives

The services are divided into four blocks:

  • The first block is based on the concept “Test before invest,” which involves digital maturity assessments, prototyping, and product validation.
  • The second block focuses on supporting investment search, providing services such as startup acceleration, business development, and feasibility analysis for collaborative R&D projects.
  • Another group of services is centered around creating an innovation ecosystem and fostering collaboration and networking among companies in the Valencian Community.
  • The last group of services focuses on training, offering companies courses and pilot tests that enable improved digitalization of SMEs and their products.

Activities carried out in 2023

In 2023, the project assisted 14 Valencian companies, providing specialized and personalized digitalization services. From prototype development to digital maturity level assessments, InnDIH has demonstrated its impact on the adoption of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence.

More specifically, the Research and Development (R&D) service in digital technologies focused on helping companies develop initial prototypes or proof-of-concept projects for new technologies, facilitating experimentation and digitalization to improve industrial competitiveness. On the other hand, the Pre-competitive R&D and feasibility service supports the formation of partnerships between interested parties and provides technical and administrative assistance for preparing collaborative funding proposals, such as European projects. The Digital Maturity Assessment and Technology Roadmap service enhances SMEs’ digital maturity by thoroughly evaluating their current situation and creating a detailed strategic plan for digital transformation. Additionally, Access to funding resources for projects related to digital technologies in industry was facilitated through the analysis of various calls and funding opportunities at the local, national, and European levels. Finally, the Training service in digital technologies provides training in digital technologies to improve the skills and competencies of workers in using digital tools and technological solutions relevant to their work areas or specific industries. This year, the course offered by AITEX focused on the design and development of smart textiles, addressing technologies such as electronics, conductive textiles, 3D printing, 3D design, Artificial Intelligence, among others.

With a proactive approach, the project has become a cornerstone for digital transformation in the region, working closely with a diverse network of key partners. Over the next two years, InnDIH will aim to expand its impact and establish strategic alliances to continue leading the way towards a digitally skilled and competitive Valencian Community.
