High value-added solutions for strategic markets
RESEARCH INTO SOCIOCULTURAL AND MARKET TRENDS FOR THE ECODESIGN OF TEXTILE PRODUCTS FOR THE HABITAT
VALHABITAT 2026
Motivation
Since 2005, prospective and strategic studies have been carried out for companies from both quantitative and qualitative perspectives. From a quantitative standpoint, Home Textile Market Studies have been conducted based on information provided by consumers of this type of product, including what they buy, how much they buy and where they buy. This information makes it possible to monitor consumer behaviour and identify their needs.
From a qualitative perspective, work is carried out along two main lines. On the one hand, the Habitat environment is analysed, including its changes and emerging needs, together with the Habitat Trends Observatory (OTH), formed by Aidimme, AITEX and ITC. This work is subsequently disseminated through documents such as the Habitat Trends Notebook, published on a biennial basis, and various monographic reports published annually, which are transferred to companies through webinars, workshops and practical application sessions.
On the other hand, qualitative changes detected in Home Textile products are analysed by monitoring sociocultural and market trends and assessing how they specifically affect these products. This work leads to the publication of the Home Textile Trends Monographs.

Objectives
The main objective is to promote strategic design among companies in the Home Textile sector by providing them with prospective and strategic trend information, both qualitative (Product Design and Habitat Trends) and quantitative (Home Textile Market Studies). These results will be transferred through studies, webinars, workshops, training sessions and exhibition spaces
