ECHA recommends eight substances for REACH authorisation

To protect workers and the environment, ECHA recommends that the European Commission add eight substances, including lead, to the REACH authorisation list. Once substances are added to the list, companies will have to apply for authorisation to continue using them.

The eleventh ECHA recommendation includes the following substances::

> Ethylenediamine
> 2-(4-tert-butylbenzyl)propionaldehyde and its individual stereoisomers
> Dirigir
> glutaral
> 2-methyl-1-(4-methylthiophenyl)-2-morpholinopropan-1-one
> 2-benzyl-2-dimethylamino-4′-morpholinobutrophenone
> diisohexyl phthalate
> orthoboric acid, sodium salt
