Motivation
In an increasingly demanding cosmetic market, where effective, safe, and scientifically validated products are required, it is essential to strengthen formulation and validation capabilities for new solutions, especially in areas such as sun protection and hair care cosmetics. The growing interest in products with demonstrable results drives the adoption of advanced evaluation methodologies, such as high-resolution 3D scanning, which allow objective analysis of effects on the skin and support product claims with reliable data.
In this context, ActiveBio seeks to enhance its formulation expertise, advance industrial scale-up to ensure the technical viability of developments, and consolidate a solid base of reproducible and validated formulations, thereby strengthening its competitiveness and its capacity for technological transfer to future projects and business collaborations
Objectives
The objective of the project is to develop new cosmetic formulations, with particular emphasis on sun care and hair care products; to carry out the industrial scale-up of cosmetic formulations, ensuring their reproducibility, stability, and technical viability; and to validate cosmetic formulas by analyzing their impact on the skin using different analysis methods, such as high-resolution 3D scanning.
Expected results

To obtain various stable cosmetic formulations, with a particular focus on sun care and hair care products, in order to expand formulation knowledge and generate a diverse base of formulas applicable to future projects with clients.

To scale up the developed cosmetic formulations, ensuring their reproducibility, stability, and technical viability to enable their application at an industrial level.

To design and carry out efficacy studies that allow objective quantification of the benefits of the developed formulations.

To acquire knowledge on the behavior of this type of product through the results of these studies.

To ensure compliance with applicable regulations regarding cosmetic efficacy studies.
