High value-added solutions for strategic markets
PROMOTION OF SUSTAINABLE HABITAT AND CONSTRUCTION 4.0 DURING 2025
ECOHABITAT 2025
Motivation
The collaboration between the Directorate-General for Housing and the Technological Institutes (IITT) of REDIT has as its main objective to contribute to improving the competitiveness of companies in the habitat and construction sectors, through the integration of the main R&D&I lines developed within the network of institutes.
This collaboration began in 2022, following a preliminary analysis of the network’s current capabilities and sectoral priorities, and has continued throughout 2023 and 2024.
During 2025, the ten technological institutes, together with REDIT, will carry out an activity plan that, as in previous years, will bring the sector closer to new technological innovation lines. The participating IITT are as follows:
AIDIMME (Wood and Metal), AIJU (Children’s Spaces and Leisure), AIMPLAS (Plastics), AINIA (Agri-food), AITEX (Textiles), IBV (Biomechanics), INESCOP (Footwear), ITC (Ceramics), ITE (Energy), and ITI (ICTs).

Objectives
The objective of this project is, therefore, to make available to one of the strategic sectors of the Valencian Community—namely, habitat and sustainable construction—the full potential of Spain’s leading network supporting innovation in SMEs, REDIT, in order to help it become a national reference in innovation. This year, particular emphasis is placed on projects that will contribute to the recovery of companies affected by the DANA storm of October 29, 2024.
