More than a hundred professionals from the cosmetics sector attended the meeting under the theme “Sustainable cosmetics: a trend or social conscience?”

Everything has changed in cosmetics in recent years; from the products available to the consumer, to the raw materials used in their formulation, packaging, points of sale and above all, trends.

Aimed at the substitution of synthetic polymers used in the cosmetics industry, through the development of natural nanofibre veils and natural encapsulated systems.

For a product to be considered “sustainable”, certain requirements must be met, ranging from the raw materials and manufacturing processes to the production chain.

The UNE 149002 standard establishes the criteria and requirements that identify which products are biodegradable and disintegrable and therefore, can be disposed of or not in the toilet
