The project, with a duration of 4 years, began on June 1, the Kickoff meeting took place last week in Alicante, which was attended by representatives of the 30 partners.

The recognition given to AITEX is part of the active relationship it has maintained with the University of Alicante for more than 25 years in areas related to the textile industry

The event was held at Casa Mediterráneo in Alicante on June 2 and 3, 2022. The objective was to boost the textile, footwear and leather sectors of the Mediterranean Basin.

More than a hundred professionals from the cosmetics sector attended the meeting under the theme “Sustainable cosmetics: a trend or social conscience?”

It´s a promising material characterized by a soft structure and a velvety touch.

AITEX has recently begun work on new research lines that provide high added-value solutions and tools to enhance the competitiveness of companies.

The ELIIT project announces the selected partnerships between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the textile, clothing, leather and footwear (TLCF) sectors and technology owners/providers from the two calls for proposals.

The new contract is a continuation of AITEX’s successful collaboration with the EDA. Since 2012, the Institute has developed seven R&D projects for the Agency and this contract ensures that collaboration will run for another four years.

AITEX has initiated a cooperative research project with the three prize-winning artists from the second call of the RE-FREAM project to collaborate on the development of sustainable finishes and dyes for a new clothing range.

Aimed at the substitution of synthetic polymers used in the cosmetics industry, through the development of natural nanofibre veils and natural encapsulated systems.
