CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR TEXTILE LABORATORIES
Technical Guideline for EU Laboratories
The Textile Technology Institute AITEX wishes to inform about a Call for Expression of Interest for laboratories to participate in the Inter-laboratory initiative with the aim of preparing “Technical guidelines for EU textile laboratories”.
This Call for expression of interest is proposed in the framework of the Call for Tenders – Technical Guidelines for EU Textile Laboratories initiated by the European Commission Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs.
The Technical guidelines for EU textile laboratories aim at describing rules and procedures to facilitate the analysis and quantification of the fibre composition of 12 selected made-up and finished textile products belonging to the following categories of products indicated in Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011 : a) Annex IV, b) Annex VII, c) Article 9 (multi-fibre textile products) in relation to Article 7 (pure textile products), d) Article 10 (products with decorative fibres and fibres with anti-static effect), e) Article 11 (multi-component textile products) and f) products made of coated fabrics with specific characteristics or functionalities.
In this framework an Expression of Interest procedure is launched aiming to select 12 laboratories in view of preparing “Technical guidelines for EU textile laboratories”. Selected laboratories shall be formally approved by the Commission before the contractor sign with them subcontracts.
The selected laboratories will be paid a lump sum of 4.000 Euros plus 1.500 Euros for travel expenses.
The call for Expression of Interest will be open from 28th of November 2017 until 21st of December 2017.
