FASHION, DESIGN AND CONFECTION
R&D in FASHION, Design and Operations Management, applying the experience and knowledge of previous initiatives to the generation of innovative products focused on the market, through research, development, application of new materials and start-up of new processes. It collaborates with companies in the development of a new product, from the idea to its production, following these phases:

Fashion is the main sector of this Research Group, but with an eye to other areas of textiles, to achieve synergies and take advantage of affinities: sports, accessories, technical clothing and common clothing.
Lines of investigation
Initiative, pioneer in the sector, collaborative, for the development of FASHION product combining TECHNOLOGY AND CREATIVITY, in order to provide greater added value to such articles. The application to the fashion sector of the Institute’s research lines is sought.
AITEX works together with the creative teams of fashion companies, from the initial idea to its development, validation and manufacture, to generate common products that combine creativity with technology.
Product design and customization management
Integral service aimed at companies in the textile-clothing-accessories-complements sector, who wish to develop their IDEA in its Technical Development, prototyping, validation and manufacturing technical sheet.
Companies are advised on design and market trends, regulations to which the developed product is subject and technical validation of the product to be obtained.
There is an experimental pattern development plant, including 3D-Body scanner infrastructure, computer-aided pattern equipment and development of manufacturing technical sheets.
There is also an experimental plant for the development of manufacturing processes, with equipment for the development of prototypes, with which to carry out any type of operation on any type of textile material.
HABITAT Trends Observatory
Study of the evolution of Habitat and identification of the main trends in design within the Home, taking into account cultural changes and the market.
The field of experience ranges from habitat (architecture, furniture, cladding, textiles, interior design, etc.), to communication (advertising, distribution, market, marketing), including the most socio-cultural factors.
