Water for Industrial Uses  

The main objective of the laboratory is to offer physical, chemical and microbiological analysis services for waste water from various industrial and urban sources, as well as water from cooling towers. The laboratory can also perform agronomic classification for soils.
The laboratory is equipped and staffed to be able to carry out water sampling which, depending on the origin of the water, can be manual or integrated into a series of tests.

 

It can also offer technical analysis to monitor the function and maintenance of water purification and sanitary systems using the Jar-Test, to determine levels of coagulants and floculants in residual water treatments. In this respect, applied research carried out in pilot plants is beginning to perfect the design and control parameters for industrial waste water through the application of tertiary purification treatments. The aim of these developments is the eventual recovery of some of the water used in industrial processes.

 

 This laboratory is homologated and accredited by the Entidad Nacional de Acreditación (ENAC) in accordance with UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 "General competency requirements for testing and calibration laboratories”
