Description of the action fieldsRESEARCH AND TECHNICAL INNOVATION Research, Development and Innovation activities are part of the basic pillars on which AITEX is supported. Emerging technologies, as well as new processes and products, currently set the standard for R+D+i activities, so textile technology is strongly driven towards gradual innovation and updating. Year after year the Textile Technological Institute increases the number R+D+i projects, justified to a large extent by the progressive growth in infrastructure and technical personnel, all these aspects under an ambitious policy to serve the textile sector. ADVANCED TECHNICAL CERTIFICATES AND SERVICES OF ADDED VALUE AITEX, through its two laboratory areas, carries out a series of standard tests adapted to the needs of the textile sector. The Institute laboratories have the highest level credentials and recognitions, as well as the most technologically advanced equipment and highly qualified personnel. The Institute offers the sector all the necessary technical resources as well as a wide range of professionals, experts in specific fields, in order to offer consultancy services on different subjects. AITEX offers quality checking services for textile products produced by associate companies and awards them certificates, which are recognised both at a national and international level. TECHNICAL TRAINING AITEX contributes to the improvement in the specialisation and continuous retraining of textile technicians, and promotes the qualification of future professionals. With this aim, it carries out training activities at its head office and in the Technical Units in order to make these training resources accessible to the sector and companies in similar sectors. TECHNOLOGICAL VIGILANCE AND TECHNOLOGICAL TRANSFERENCE The Institute carries out constant research into all the technological innovations taking place in textile and thanks to this, provides a chance for companies to encounter all the technologies and products that are appearing on the market; so companies can seize new opportunities and face up to possible threats.
